Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SpeakBand mobile application (the "App") operated by us ("SpeakBand", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the App.
To use certain features of the App, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You agree not to use the App to: - Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. - Impersonate any person or entity. - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, user accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the App. - Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the App.
You may write your own practice questions and, on a paid plan, upload a PDF and choose two pages of it to practise from. Both remain yours, and both stay private to your account.
You are responsible for the material you upload: you must have the right to use it, and you must not upload anything you are not allowed to copy or share with a service like this one. We read the text of the two pages you choose so that the App can write practice questions from them, and for nothing else. We do not keep the file — it is discarded as soon as that text has been taken out of it — and we do not publish, share or sell what you upload.
We may refuse or remove material that breaks these terms, and there are limits on how much you may keep and how often you may upload; the App tells you what they are when you reach one.
Certain features of the App are offered on a monthly subscription basis ("Paid Plans"). By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees. Subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play, and entitlements are managed via RevenueCat; your use of Google Play is subject to Google's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
Your first day is free and requires no payment details: it includes twelve AI evaluations, and the day begins when you submit your first answer rather than when you register. One free day is available per account and per app installation.
After it, you may earn one free evaluation per day for thirty days by inviting someone who then practises; the same applies again if somebody you invited buys a plan. There is a monthly limit on how many such rewards one account can earn, so that the scheme cannot be used to obtain unlimited free evaluations.
If somebody you invited pays for a plan, your account is also credited with ten per cent of what they paid, each time they pay, for as long as they keep paying. This credit is never money and is never paid out in cash: it is held as a balance inside the App and can be exchanged, at your choice, for days of access or for trees planted on your behalf. Tree planting becomes available only once we have opened an account with a planting service; until then, days of access are the only exchange offered, and the App says so. Exchanges are made in whole days or whole trees and any remainder stays on your balance. If a payment is later refunded or reversed, the credit it produced is deducted from your balance.
Free evaluations may be spaced by a short minimum interval, and the free tier as a whole is subject to a daily cost ceiling. We may change these limits at any time to keep the service sustainable; changes never remove access you have already paid for.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you retain access until then. Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.
We do not offer our own refunds for time you have used. Instead, if you practise and your score does not move, we add a further month at no charge, on these terms:
Score estimates are produced by AI and are approximate; this section describes a goodwill extension based on them, not a guarantee of any exam result.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SpeakBand and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
In no event shall SpeakBand, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: - Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App. - Any conduct or content of any third party on the App. - Any content obtained from the App. - Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Your use of the App is at your sole risk. The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.
The AI-generated feedback provided by the App is for educational purposes and should not be considered as a guarantee of a specific score on the actual IELTS exam.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes before they take effect. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
